: About Us : Company Background
Founded in 1996 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina,
NetUnlimited has experienced explosive growth from revenues of $330,000
during the first year of operation to over $5.6 million currently. The
Company began its operations with four employees and has grown to more
than 70 employees today. NetUnlimited was founded on two principles: providing
exceptional customer service and providing cutting-edge technology. As
the Company's reputation grew, their Internet customers began to express
needs for other services, such as structured cabling and advanced network
solutions. In response to these needs, NetUnlimited began to acquire talent
through recruiting efforts and acquisition of related companies.
In late 1997 NetUnlimited's primary focus changed
from residential to commercial, and during the same year, the Company
merged with Telecommunications and Data Services (TADS), a structured
cabling provider with a strong customer base and superior quality standards.
In keeping with their philosophy of delivering an integrated solution,
NetUnlimited opened their Network Solutions division in 1998.
With the acquisition of Online South (a local ISP)
in January of 2000, NetUnlimited expanded its customer base and network
reach to include parts of Stokes and Surry counties. Finally, to round
out the total e-Business solution, NetUnlimited completed a merger in
2000 with BizNexus, Inc., a leading web-integrator in the Southeast. This
merger further enriched the Company's service capabilities with expertise
in developing interactive, database-driven, web-based applications for
more than 250 clients, including Fortune 500 companies such as Wachovia
Corporation and Sara Lee Corporation. NetUnlimited spun off the e-business
group to its sister company, Xqsite, in order to focus on the four current
primary verticals: Broadband Internet, Network Solutions, Network Infrastructure,
and e-Hosting Solutions.
